Esquire 75th Anniversary E-Ink Cover

Looking into the future, perhaps for inspiration, Esquire has introduced its October 2008 issue to news stands nationwide. Celebrating its 75th anniversary, the magazine features its first ever e-ink cover. Complete with built in batteries and all, it’s certainly a reminder of those flashy, musical birthday cards grandma would receive every year. Limited to a run of 100,000 copies, the magazines batteries are made to have a life of 8-9 years although most have been getting cut short due to hackers interested in its function. More information can be found at www.esquire.com. Click on the video to view the e-ink in full effect.
