Museums and the Economy

Here is an interesting read found in yesterday’s New York Times. The article is about the tough times ahead that museums might be facing due to today’s poor economic standings. There are not really many entities or people exempt from what is going on today or even in the future, and this article speculates on what the future will hold and provides factual instances of current happenings in the U.S. museum world. Directors are definitely concerned at what is going on, as donations and support could begin thinning out, but there are some good points made that could help keep attendance steady.
