Scheduled to open on the 1st of November at The Shooting Gallery in San Francisco, is Ron English’s solo exhibition titled “The Secret History of Kiss“, where English reinvents classical masterpieces with Kiss faces. “Ron not only reinterprets the original, he breathes new life and a new vitality into the work that holds it’s own against the tide of postmodern critique.”. Ron English, SWOON, and JetSet Graffiti donated artwork to the Santa’s Ghetto exhibition and traveled to Bethlehem to paint on the Wall and work in solidarity with the elusive British Artist, Banksy. Ron English took to the streets of Boston and posted numerous oversized prints of his previously seen “Obama-Lincoln” fusion posters just in time for the July 4th opening of the “a politic” show from Gallery XIV in Boston. The new prints have seen a colorization process that brings new life to the already infamous posters that fused the US presidential candidate with one of America’s most recognizable presidents known for ending slavery in the United States.
